This new artifact necklace features a gorgeous Amazonite teardrop. I’ve had this stone for quite a while, and I never used it because I thought the black bit kind of ruined it. But when I looked at it the other day, I saw a spit of land jutting out into the ocean, with waves crashing up against it, and now that is all I see. So I made an artifact necklace for it.
Amazonite is not only beautiful, but also has wonderful properties. Like many blue stones, it is soothing and calming. It also enhances love, supports balance, and brings confidence. I drilled a hole in the Amazonite and riveted a textured bail. Joining the Amazonite we have wire-wrapped Apatite, Aquamarine, and Labradorite beads, a bezel-set Rainbow Moonstone, a bar with the word “balance”, a little Larimar tower, and a bezel-set Opal, with an onyx bead.
I hand-knotted the necklace for this one, with Apatite, Aquamarine, Emerald, Rainbow Moonstone, Amazonite, Peruvian Opal, Sapphire, Ocean Jasper, and Snowflake Obsidian beads. It measures about 28”.
