When I first started making these lanterns, back in 2008, I had just been revisiting Dan Millman’s book, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.  And this quote really stood out to me.  Faith is about letting YOURSELF guide you, letting your own heart guide you, not looking for some disembodied other being to guide you.

I love these lanterns as symbols of faith and also hope.  Lanterns provide you with light, strength, maybe even encouragement as you journey through the dark, or celebrate the light.
