When I found this incredible black worry stone, I had the idea to set it vertically for something a little different. I think it is perfect for this stone! This is an extra-smooth, perfect worry stone. Here’s what I’ve said about these necklaces in the past:

As a new resident to the state of Oregon, beach combing has become my new favorite pastime. Just like going to thrift stores and peering into tide pools, I feel like beach-combing is just a treasure hunt. You never know what you are going to find if you take the time to look!

On a recent trip, I was finding many lovely stones and adding them to my bucket. As I did this, I kept choosing one to leave in my hand, because ever since I was a child, I love the feel of a worry stone. And it occurred to me that I could make worry stone necklaces with these beautiful stones! It seems to me that everyone should have a wearable worry stone. So I shifted my focus to look for stones that were the right size and shape for that, and I found so many.

This one features a beautiful smooth black beach stone, perfect for rubbing. It has been tumbled to perfection by the sea. I set it vertically, with a wide bezel and a simple bail, and knotted a variety of black beads to go with it- Black Agate, Montana Agate, Spinel, Botswana Agate, Snowflake Obsidian, and Onyx- for the necklace. I used a lot of matte black Agate beads that go so well with these beach stones. Most black stones, and especially black Agate, have many powerful protective and healing properties.

The pendant measures about 1” x 3/4" and the hand-knotted necklace is 28".
