Back home in SW Colorado, sunflowers grew like wildflowers all over the place. And when summer ended and school started, the girls and I would often pick them and put them in jars for their teachers on the first day of school. For that reason I’ve always associated them with the start of fall. They don’t seem to be as abundant out here in Oregon, but I have seen some along the roads.
Anyway, with the girls going back to school this week, it felt like a good time to make a sunflower necklace. It comes with the 18” sterling rolo chain pictured.
