This is a piece I’ve been thinking about and working on for a while now. When I saw this stone (an “unidentified plume agate” according to the man I bought it from) at the gem & mineral show a couple months ago, it looked exactly liked pressed leaves, or pine needles. So I knew I wanted to incorporate trees and leaves into the design. I did this with the various charms. And I also wanted to bring out all of the beautiful colors within the stone. I did this with the wire wrapped bead dangles. There is a total of eleven charms. I am so so delighted with how this came out! And the best part? It opens so you can add or remove charms!

To me, this necklace represents all the best parts of being in the wilderness… the abundance, the trees, the leaves, the colors, even the movement, like the wind in the branches…. The back says “wild” and the sterling rolo chain is 36”, because this one felt like it needed to be worn long.
